This project is a study in the relationships between indoor and outdoor spaces. The exterior and interior courtyards act as the destinations while the structure itself acts as circulatory space. Not only were the courtyards accessible from several points in the house, they are all visible from one another. Studies in sight lines between courtyards were a primary focus. Inspired by the Farnsworth House in Plano, Illinois, the use of large glass panes not only provides crossing sight-lines but also weightless, floating roof.
